Big Woods Bucks is welcoming Brad Willey of White Mountain Buck Trackers to the Big Woods Bucks team.

Brad Willey was born and raised in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where he still resides today. His love for the big woods was ignited at a young age, as he would tag along with his father Bill trapping fur and tracking deer. Brad's love for hunting deer started at a young age watching his father not just kill a buck, but find a track, work that track wherever it took him, and finally kill the buck that made those tracks. Brad loves everything that goes with the hunt, from locating the track, to taking that buck off his feet, to dragging him miles out of the woods. After all, he believes "it's all part of the adventure". He is a rifle hunter who favors his Remington 7600 Carbine chambered in 35 Whelen he dubbed, "Waylon". Brad learned early in his career you need to know how to shoot quickly and proficiently at a running deer in the woods when your're tracking because you mightly get one poke at him. His preferred method of taking bucks is by way of tracking, but has also been fortunate to kill several bucks on bare ground.

After September 11, 2001, Brad entered the US Army and served as an airborne infantryman in the 82nd Airborne Division. During that time, Brad completed US Army Ranger School and deployed to Iraq in 2003 where he was wounded in combat during an enemy ambush. Upon his honorable discharge in 2004, Brad returned to Northern New Hampshire where he currently resides with his wife and two of three children. His oldest son is currently serving as a paratrooper (4th generation) in the 82nd Airborne Division. Since 2004, Brad has worked as a police officer.

Upon returning home from the service to Northern New Hampshire, Brad picked up where he left off in the woods, only now with a greater appreciation and determination. Brad is known amongst his peers for his "never quit" attitude while pursuing bucks in the big woods. There isn't a day that goes by that Brad doesn't have whitetails on his mind. His passion for deer hunting also helped fuel the founding of his small business, White Mountain Buck Trackers. To this day, Brad is always researching and trying to improve his craft. He enjoys sharing his new tips and tricks with other hunters so they can be more successful. Brad is a big believer in not only being physically fit, but also mentally. When not working, hunting, or coaching, Brad can be found maintaining his physical fitness which is excellent for mind and body. After all, you got to be able to go miles into the woods for the big bucks and be able to drag those bucks miles out of the woods. Brad says, "You're mind will quit on you long before your body if you let it...so just keep going!". Above all else, he says "Makes some memories", because it only comes once a year!
