A bit about Brandon:
Brandon Lane was born in the 80’s and raised throughout his childhood in Central Maine where he grew up hunting and being outdoors. From a very young age he followed his father, uncles and grandfather around through the woods of North Western Maine. The fall hunting season was an annual family tradition that he looked forward to as far back as he can remember. Brandon harvested his first deer at the sharp age of ten with his grandfather by his side using a Ruger 44 Mag. It was safe to say, that day he developed an obsession and was focused on learning how to excel and master the big woods that Maine had to offer him. As Brandon grew older he couldn’t wait to meet up during deer season with the elders to listen to the old stories of the previous seasons and soak up all the knowledge they had to offer, and hear about all the thrills of the hunt they had experienced. Back during his teen years you would find him out in the woods exploring in search of a fresh buck track, instead of being in a school room, sitting behind a desk.
Brandon got his guide's license at the young age of 19. He quickly started working for other guides in the area, and it didn't take long for him to realize his love for sharing the knowledge and love for the outdoors with various people from around the country was exactly what he wanted to do for a living. However to make a go of it, it needed to be a lifestyle and career not just a hobby.
In 2010, Brandon met Brittany, and after sharing his life goals, together they decided to start a very small guide service in Central Maine. In addition to both already working full time jobs, and having two children, they decided they wanted to make a go of this lifestyle. In the early winter of 2015, Brittany and Brandon were at a trade show promoting their own business when another vendor approached them with a chance of a lifetime. They were given the opportunity to buy an established, year round operating outfit, known as Allagash Guide Service, in Allagash, Maine. It was on this day, that the dream of being a full time guide and making it a career and lifestyle would become a reality. Before they knew it, spring had come and Brittany and Brandon were signing paperwork and packing up the kids and all of their belongings. They relocated their life five hours North to the town of Allagash, Maine they would now call home.
Since the spring of 2016, they have successfully operated a four season guide service, making thousands and thousands of dreams become reality for sportsmen and women from all around the world. To this day, Brandon, his wife Brittany, and their 2 kids reside in Allagash full time living the dream of any outdoors family enjoying the big woods lifestyle that Maine has to offer.
Brandon is a Professional Registered Maine Guide that holds a license in the hunting, fishing and recreational fields. He enjoys sharing his wealth of knowledge of the outdoors to anyone that is willing to learn the lifestyle. Brandon has been a board member of the Maine Professional Guides Association since 2016, he was elected vice president a few years later, then in the Spring of 2024 took on the role to be President.
